Not everyone has the gift of the green thumb, it’s a good thing we are around to help offer a solution to your gardening problems. Its that time of the year again where we start to feel the cooler fall weather, so it’s important to know which foliage you can plant during this time. Using our landscaping experience that stretches back many years we wanted to share a few good plants and edible vegetables to plant during this fall time of year.

A few cool weather loving plants to put in the ground would be the daffodil, crown imperial, grape hyacinth, siberian squill, and english bluebell. If these plants are installed in the late spring late fall time then this will allow the plants to have a much more beautiful spring display for the following spring. Fall landscape planting is also ideal for pansies, because the still-warm soil allows for the pansy roots enough time to establish themselves. A few fresh veggies to plant would be broccoli, brussels sprouts, carrots, cabbage, spinach, and the ever popular kale. The reason for this is because when these plants taste sweeter when they are harvested after a frost.
